Quick alerts for matters
- Licence appeals: You generally have 28 days from the suspension notice to file an appeal in the Local Court.
- Police interviews: You have the right to seek legal advice. In many cases, saying “No comment” is appropriate until you get advice.
- Non-conviction options: Depending on the case, the Court can dismiss a matter or make a Conditional Release Order without recording a conviction.
- Mental health pathway: Some matters may be dealt with under the Mental Health and Cognitive Impairment Forensic Provisions Act 2020 (NSW).
